Emergency crews say 12 people were hospitalized after a collision between two boats on Okanagan Lake Wednesday evening.
B.C. Emergency Health Services (BCEHS) said it received a call around 8:40 p.m. PT and dispatched seven ambulances, additional units, and a supervisor to the scene.
Spokesperson Bowen Osoko confirmed that five patients were transported to hospital in stable condition, while seven were reported to be in good condition.
The crash happened south of the William R. Bennett Bridge, according to Central Okanagan Search and Rescue. In a Facebook post, the group said RCMP confirmed all passengers involved were accounted for.
The Kelowna Fire Department removed the damaged boats from the water to ensure public safety, officials said.
