Police Investigate Suspicious Death After Human Remains Found Scattered Near Kamloops, B.C.

Police are investigating the discovery of partial human remains found scattered across a rural property near Kamloops, B.C.

The RCMP say their Southeast District Major Crime Unit has been deployed to the Pendleton Creek area, west of the city, where the remains were discovered.

Investigators say they are currently “unsure of the point of origin of the scattered partial remains” and are treating the death as suspicious.

Staff Sgt. Jason Smart said officers are still in the early stages of the investigation and urged anyone with information about how the person died or how the remains ended up there to come forward.

Police say work is ongoing to determine the identity of the deceased and the circumstances surrounding the death.
