A man was killed and another was injured after a shooting in Surrey on Tuesday evening, in what police are now treating as a homicide investigation.

Surrey Police Service said officers responded at about 6:55 p.m. on April 28 to reports of shots fired into a vehicle in the 6800 block of 148 Street, south of T.E. Scott Park.

One victim died at the scene

When officers arrived, they found an adult man suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite emergency response efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police also located a second adult male at the scene who had suffered what were described as minor injuries. He was taken to hospital for treatment.
