One dead and several injured in serious two-vehicle crash in Delta

One person was killed and several others were seriously injured after a two-vehicle crash in Delta, B.C., on Saturday afternoon. Police say the collision happened shortly after 3 p.m. near the intersection of 118th Street and 75A Avenue.

According to police, officers were called to the scene at about 3:08 p.m. after reports of a serious crash involving two vehicles in a residential area. Emergency crews responded and multiple occupants were taken to hospital with serious injuries. One of the drivers was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigation underway

Delta Police say collision analysts were called in to examine the scene and determine what led to the crash. Authorities have not yet released further details about the victim or how many people were involved in total.

Road closures remained in effect as officers continued their investigation, and police asked anyone with information about the collision to contact them.
