Mayors Say Calls to Cancel B.C. Ferries’ China-Built Ship Contract Miss the Mark

A child died Sunday evening after being hit by a vehicle in Surrey, B.C.’s Newton area. Paramedics responded to the scene at 64th Avenue and 138 Street but were unable to save the child. Police say the driver stayed at the scene and is cooperating as the investigation continues.
