Vancouver Records Sixth Homicide of 2026 After Man Found Dead in CRAB Park

Vancouver police are investigating the city’s sixth homicide of the year after a man was found in medical distress at CRAB Park early Wednesday morning.
Officers were called to the waterfront park after receiving a report that a man required medical assistance.
Emergency responders provided treatment at the scene, but the man died despite those efforts.
Police have not yet publicly identified the victim.
No Suspects Identified
Vancouver police say no suspects have been located in connection with the death.
Investigators have also released few details about what happened before the man was found or what led police to classify the death as a homicide.
No information has been provided about the nature of the victim’s injuries or a possible motive.
The investigation remains in its early stages.
Police Seeking Witnesses
Investigators are asking anyone who was in or around CRAB Park between Tuesday night and approximately 7 a.m. PT Wednesday to come forward if they saw or heard anything that could assist the investigation.
Police are also seeking any other information that could help establish the circumstances surrounding the man’s death.
