A former dance teacher in White Rock, B.C., is facing multiple sexual offence charges tied to allegations involving former students, as police appeal for more people with information to come forward.
White Rock RCMP say 45-year-old Nigel Brock Jellison, who also goes by Brock Jellison, has been charged with five counts of sexual assault and one count of sexual exploitation. Police say the charges relate to alleged offences involving four female victims between 2006 and 2011.
Investigation began with historical complaint
According to RCMP, the investigation began in 2021 after White Rock officers received a report of a historical sexual assault involving a dance teacher and a student at a local dance studio. The detachment’s General Investigation Section later took conduct of the case, and investigators say additional alleged victims were identified as the investigation continued.
The B.C. Prosecution Service laid the charges on Feb. 12, 2026, and a Canada-wide warrant was issued for Jellison’s arrest.
Arrest made in Alberta
Police say Jellison was arrested in Magrath, Alta., on April 15. RCMP also say he has been associated with other dance studios and believe he was recently teaching in Alberta.
Investigators are now asking anyone who may have information related to Jellison or the allegations to contact White Rock RCMP. A publication ban remains in place protecting the identities of the complainants.
Police seeking additional information
In its public appeal, White Rock RCMP said the case involves alleged historical sexual offences against female dance students and indicated the investigation remains active. Sgt. Rob Dixon said investigators believe there may be others with relevant information and are encouraging them to come forward.
