A British Columbia man has been charged with second-degree murder in the death of his estranged wife, Trail RCMP confirmed Tuesday. Officers responded to a call on Monday reporting a man assaulting a woman on the front lawn of a residence in Montrose, a village located east of Trail.
The victim, identified as Lindsay Christine Danchella, sustained "significant injuries," according to police, and later died at Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital.
